In this image Naha Bay meets Roosevelt
Lagoon. Ketchikan has a tidal range of
twenty two feet. This causes a large
rapid in this very spot when the tide is right.
This is known as a salt chuck.
A saltwater lagoon flowing in on high tide
and flowing out at low
tide. |
